Ronia The Robber Daughter! This Weekend!

Last weekend for the chance to see the ultra-rare Swedish film, "Ronia, The Robber's Daughter"

A classic tale for everyone about a kingdom of robbers and a daughter is born to the king of robbers. They live next to an enchanted forest and she and a boy from the rival kingdom of robbers run away from home to live there.

As a special this weekend, we are offering tickets at HALF PRICE if you bring something from the Renaissance Festival. (Key chain, ticket stub, mug, etc. Don't worry, you get to keep it!)

This is a great movie set in Renaissance times with great songs. A treat for all and not available on DVD in America.

theatrical release with its opening night premiere in Minneapolis on
Friday October 24th at the Oak St Cinema. MIDNIGHT MOVIE explores the
psychological terrain of viewing cult horror films, attempting to
carve their own spot in the cult genre by carving out its character's
chests. Foot entertainment has selected the Zombie Mockumentary short
THEY WALK AMONG US by Local filmmaker Gabriel Wimmer to play before
Midnight Movie.

Tribute To The late & Great Isaac Hayes!

This week at the Oak Street Cinema we are proud to present a tribute to the late and great Isaac Hayes (1942 - 2008)!  All 35MM prints and ready for you to have a glimpse of  the early career of Isaac Hayes as well as his only starring role movie, "Truck Turner"!

This movie also features Nichelle Nichols, Lt. Uhura from "Star Trek" as a foul mouthed madam that is the film's main villain. A great movie with great action and that classic Isaac Hayes charm. This is the film that got him in to many more movies and into our hearts!
