Last weekend for the chance to see the ultra-rare Swedish film, "Ronia, The Robber's Daughter"

A classic tale for everyone about a kingdom of robbers and a daughter is born to the king of robbers. They live next to an enchanted forest and she and a boy from the rival kingdom of robbers run away from home to live there.

This movie also features Nichelle Nichols, Lt. Uhura from "Star Trek" as a foul mouthed madam that is the film's main villain. A great movie with great action and that classic Isaac Hayes charm. This is the film that got him in to many more movies and into our hearts!

SHAFT (1971)

We all know that Isaac did the theme for it, but it's important to history for it's Oscar nod. See the film that helped to change Hollywood in 1971!

WATTSTAX  (1973)

This is the uncut version of the film. Scenes with Isaac Hayes were cut back then due to the song "Shaft", but The Oak Street is proud to show the movie in all it's glory! Also features Richard Pryor!
